what we can do for our Next Genration of Rabari Samaj?
I desperately want to know what plans our Rabari Samaj has for reducing number of girls ( both young sisters & women ) working as maids ( kaam waali ) in other family houses in metro cities ? I strongly believe this is hurting the image of our developing & ever growing community.
Gruh Udyog & education is an alternative for such women to get work , if given the opportunity. But are there any Gruh Udyog setup for our community ladies to go & work ? Why our community women have to go & do dirty work into other people’s houses ?
I am sure there is nothing more frustrating than this for any true proud Rabari.
Education is definitely an option as I mentioned in my earlier email discussion with mohan , however I think if some donation gathering process can be done & if we can establish some small Gruh Udyogs ( like making Papads , Khakhra , Pickles , Sewing work , Bharat Kaam , seasonal Navratri chaniya chori designs etc. ). This will help our community a lot as not everyone ( specially old ladies ) can now go back to education.
This Gruh Udyog can help earn those women enough money ( which they make working as Maids – approx . Rs. 3000 ) & Gruh Udyog can definitely start making little profit. This profit in long run can again help establish other Gruh Udyogs in remote places.
Every community has some very famous , respected & rich personalities. Now these respected people do donate very generously to our Rabari Samaj temples or for Dharm. Which is very good. They sometime donate like 20 lacs gold kadas ( like pot ) etc to our great temples. This is very kind & generous of them.
I would like to argue here – donating in temple upto certain amount is fine however let’s say if same amount of money is used to develop such small Gruh Udyog setups or to Rabari Samaj schools , it will definitely help lot more families & ultimately to help our community being financially more stable with steady income. I believe Such donation money received needs to be utilized more efficiently to reduce number of illiterate –uneducated people ( mostly Childs & young girls ) in our community & to reduce number of women working as maids in outside world. This is a first & basic step to improve overall Rabari family life.
I think RabariSamaj.com is a great way to communicate & spread good message to our community , however some action needs to be taken to progress further from here. It will be great help if such progress or community work is highlighted in the website. This will encourage more people to do some community work or even do some donation.

Dear mohan ,
I don’t think rabarans working a house maid is that big of an issue, they make decent and honest living out of it. Can there be better employment opportunities sure, as they educate themselves it will gradually come their way.The problem of defaming our samaj is the rabari youth Men who consider themselves the Sicilian mafia’s of all metro cities working for so called finance companies debt collection departments. Think of productive ways of sending these young testosterone filled men to legitimate jobs like police, army security companies to channelize there muscle energy to something more productive. Women working is an harmless issue ( I think) but all this men and their youth wasted over builder and politicians using them as Ginny pigs is worst .

Thanks shreshtha, as by your comment you are 100% right but at last because the men’s doesn’t have education of as job level in India that’s reason they can’t do job. Other thing is that because they can’t do the job, they select easy way to earn money which is finance also they don’t select this profession by themselves but they supported by other uneducated people who is doing same profession. So the first priority is to get them educated and teach that what’s going around the world. See after some people get educated in early year, see nowadays how many Rabari young Boys and Girls are outside India, I thing you will find a lot. That what I believe….Jay Goga Maharaj

Dear all blog reader,
Education is necessary in today’s era but important point for us is how to grow with our valuable assets, culture and all those thing. Today we are very egar to edmit our kid in the english mediam school and the school which provide good education which helpul to the student in future. What i want to convery though this platform is we should mentain our culture and we should errigate all the value in our next generation which will differenciate our kid from the other and give better plateform to them and the parants should also think olny books are not able to make their son a responsible member of the society. Yes, it is sure that books help them to get better carrier in future and good income also. But our community need good thoughts, good personality, good unity, good understanding, and lots of more thigs. so we should pass all the value, thoughts, beliefs, in next generation
